Evil Episodes Podcast: Episode #49 Sleepynatural

Welcome back to the darkside of the dial!

On this episode we have a mega-segment covering the first five episodes of the new series Sleepy Hollow as well as another three episodes of Supernatural S:1(7,8,9).  Although the shows have some similarities there is enough that make them unique experience to watch.  We also review the british indie horror, Young, High & Dead.  That flick certainly gets two out of three down pretty well.

Everything gets kicked off with some much overdue catching up in everyone’s world, as well as Mike & Jamie giving some brief thoughts on, Kiss of the Damned, Curse of Chucky & Insidious 2.
Please enjoy and look for the Evil Episodes Halloween 2013 special/Ep50 to hit Horrorphilia next week!

BBC America injecting a bit of horror into Supernatural Saturdays w/ “Bedlam” ?

BBC America is quickly becoming a highly coveted for the “sci-fi geek” community, with genre favorites such as Being Human & Doctor Who(as well as bringing Battlestar Galactica to the network in syndication)  With that said, could the network now also be courting “horror geeks” as well? There is information out there already about the new series “The Fades” being developed and now comes news of another series that sounds like it could potentially be pretty frightening: BEDLAM!   BBCAMERICA says:

an apartment building converted from a pre-Victorian lunatic asylum – the inhabitants experience the darker side of the building’s history when former asylum spirits come back to claim what they believe to be theirs and seek revenge on those who have wronged them

It looks as though the series first season has aired already in the UK to mixed reviews from viewers, although on a positive note it does seem to have gotten better as the series has gone on, which is a good sign.  We all know TV-based horror isn’t always where you are going to find the best material necessarily, but hey, I’m making it my personal job to cover as much of the genre as I can regardless of the quality, I suppose that will be a  part of the fun of the podcast itself, right?

Bedlam premieres October 8th 2011 @9pm PT/ET (Cast pictured above)
