On episode #73 we review the much acclaimed and talked about THE BABADOOK! Do we jump on board and join the majority opinion on this or do try and get rid of The Babadook!? American Horror Story: Freakshow is winding down and heading into it’s homestretch so find out which story arc has us doing a 180 on our previous opinion and where the show is starting to go “meh” on. We also give our thoughts (a bit late, but that is merely a timing issue) on the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead’s 5th season. Z nation is on hold until our next episode. We also talk some more video games, as Mike finally beat Alien: Isolation and has plenty to say about it. Enjoy the show!
You can contact the show via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or via the brand new voicemail line at 760-661-7384 We appreciate any and all feedback!
On the latest episode all four of us are together once again to review The Taking of Deborah Logan. Was the footage truly a found, or should it stay lost in netflix purgatory? We also discuss the latest in everything TV Horror including, the first three episodes of Constantine, and the continuation of AHS: Freakshow & The Walking Dead S5. The show kicks off with a review of all of our Halloweens as well as some movies Mike watched since the last recording including The Carrie remake and Horns, as well as a surprisingly good time Corey had with World War Z as part of his 31 Horror movies (he has never seen before) in 31 day for October. All this and so much more on Evil Episodes Podcast #71
Your horror TV Fix is back, it’s Evil Episodes Podcast #68!
On this episode we catch up on what we have been up to on our longer than usual break between episodes. Mike saw Cannibal Holocaust on the big screen in Texas…..(most of it, anyway). Jamie has been podcasting up a storm as usual….and Brian….well…he always has a ton of awesome things he can’t quite share yet.
The three of us review one of the latest twists on the found footage genre, THE DEN, which is almost exclusively from the perspective of a webcam. Is this another online horror dud or does this deliver the web related goods? Find out now………we also catch you up on the latest from Under the Dome, The Strain, as well as the pilot episode of SYFY/Asylum’s Z Nation…..(everything you’re expecting from that one is probably dead-on) *pun intended*
No need to adjust your dials, Evil Episodes Podcast is back!
On episode #63 of the show we invite special guest Duncan McLeish from The Podcast Under the Stairs onto the show for the first time. We start off with a video game heavy news segment due to being only a week removed from E3 2014, trailers for Dead Island 2, The Order, Alien Isolation & more! We then introduce Duncan to the podcast properly with a discussion on Asylum’s Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys (forgive us Duncan) and then close out with a review of the WNUF Halloween special which features a lot of gushing and trips down memory lane for the four of us. All this and more including a brand new Cthulu book that Brian gets all giddy promoting!
TV spot after TV spot….that was how it went for FX’s new horror series THE STRAIN.
For those of us unfamiliar with the comic, we were eagerly awaiting to get a better look and idea of what we have in store when the series kicks off it’s 13 episode first season on July 13th….wait no longer as a trailer has finally been released!
On episode #61 of the show, we welcome Brian back yet again, filling in for a soon-to-be returning Corey. We start off as usual catching up on our horror happenings since the last show, Brian & Jamie re-visited Maximum Overdrive, Mike picked up a couple issues of Romero’s Empire of the Dead comic. We then get into some news including some trailers for a couple new shows, Constantine & Wayward Pines, a movie being produced for Animal Planet….yes…you read that right, & a whole lot more. Then we discuss the horror comedy Odd Thomas and finish out the show with our usual horror tv wrap-up, including the season 2 finales of The Following & Bates Motel!
Can you hold out? Will you hold out? The new Showtime series PENNY DREADFUL, premiering May 11th is advertised as follows….
“An erotically-charged, profoundly unsettling new saga, PENNY DREADFUL completely reinvents literature’s most iconic and terrifying characters. Dorian Gray, Victor Frankenstein and timeless figures from Dracula join a core of original characters in a dark and brutal quest to save a soul — even as they grapple with their own monstrous temptations.”
For those that don’t have Showtime, or just can’t hold out, the first episode has been made available online for free. Check it out below:
So, awhile back on the podcast we talked briefly about a french tv show called The Returned that was going to start airing on IFC. Season 1 came and went without most anyone watching it. I had it set to record on the DVR but for some reason it decided not to….luckily, like many other series The Returned has found it’s way onto netflix so I will be checking it out very soon. For those unfamiliar or that forgot what this was about check out the trailer below…
This has been getting rave reviews from a ton of media outlets. Expect a discussion/review on this series sometime in the next few episodes!
MTV’s teen wolf the show I continue to defend and “carry the torch” for, is coming back in a couple of weeks on June 3rd with the premiere of it’s 3rd season.
The ratings are growing, the audience is getting bigger and it looks like it is happening just as time for the darkest turn in the series yet.
As much as we can tell from the trailer, there is a new Alpha pack in town looking for new members and they have their eyes on Derek, but what they want him to do to earn membership could change the course of the show forever….
Welcome back to your regularly scheduled TV horror fix, it’s Evil Episodes #38!
On this edition we get right into the latest happenings on The Following, Bates Motel, & Hannibal. One series is winding down it’s first season, another is just getting started and the third is right in the middle of the tv terror!
Then the three of us dive into the pilot episode of the Zombieland TV series available exclusively on Amazon Prime for the time being. As of the recording of this episode it is available for free so do yourself a favor (or disfavor?) and check it on their dime!
To close out this episode we finally dive into our much anticipated retrospective on Supernatural. Yes, we go way back to season 1 to discuss the first two episodes. For those who have been down this road before (Jamie) or for those who are getting in on the spookiness for the first (Mike & Corey) this show is certainly an interesting watch and discussion. Does it hold up a second time for Jamie? Find out now…..
