On this episode we tackle the sequel to The Dead…….The Dead 2. The first entry was polarizing, will this one be any different? This course sparks discussion and side thoughts on the zombie genre overall (we couldn’t help ourselves). No one better to discuss all things zombie, with than Corey Graham, right? Yes that’s right he is back for most of this episode! We kicked things off with a Top 10 “Horror films that deserve a proper video game” list and had plenty to say with that. Afterwards the show is rounded out with all the latest in horror TV including more thoughts on Z Nation and The Straaaaain! (This episode was recorded before the season finale of The Strain, so we will discuss that on ep 70)
A full 3 minutes of Walking Dead good-ness has premiered earlier today and per usual, it is now online for all of our enjoyment. Does this trailer reveal too much of what goes on at and beyond Terminus? You be the judge…
The Walking Dead returns for season 5 on Sunday October 12th only on AMC!

On this episode we start up with our usual greetings and pleasantries including a whole hell of a lot of non-horror talk including a massive spoiler free slobber-fest for Breaking Bad.
Up next we have a super duper sized news segment full of fun tidbits, including an AMC spinoff of The Walking Dead, a possible Friday the 13th Web-series and video game on the way, A new werewolf series coming to SYFY, and a whole hell of a lot more…..
Then we review the final four episodes of the first season of Ripper Street and Rajun Cajun Redneck Gators in a combined review segment.
Sounds short & compact in the description, but don’t be fooled, this episode is back to the extended running time of over 2 hrs, so sit back relax, and grab a big ol’ mason jar full of moonshine!

A new experimental pill has been released with the promise of pain relief and comfort, and residents of an apartment complex have been taking them for various reasons. Only it isn’t pain these pills are relieving, it’s their HUMANITY!
I’ve attached the first episode below and provided links the the next three episodes under it. I’ve been told that an additional four episodes have been ordered and will be releasing in the future!
Finally it’s our long awaited Retrospective on American Horror Story season 1! And wow did we ever ramble on for awhile! A solid two hours of all things AHS! I kicked off the episode with a couple news items of worth but decided to reserve the rest of the show simply to the topic at hand. Huge thanks to Ike of @ItsMikeAndIke for coming on as a special guest to discuss the show that some might consider a game changer for basic cable! Be forewarned the show is heavily spoiled as we dissect an entire season worth or characters, plots and story lines!
In case you forgot, we’re under a month until Season 2 of the Walking Dead picks back up. No surprise then about the news of a 3rd season being ordered. The interesting part though is that it is calling for 16 episodes, which will make it the longest season of the show to date. Is AMC planning to split the 3rd season up as well? No word on that yet…..Meanwhile TVLine got the scoop on some of the plot lines coming our when the show picks up in a few weeks on February 11th!
From writer/director/creator/editor Justin Brooks comes the new horror web series JESSA KILL starring Ally Tully in the lead role of Jessa Kill “a mean spirited, bad-ass babe in a world where hair dye and make-up have been replaced with guns and ammo” Check out the intense first episode below, which by the end, promises plenty of zombie killing action in future episodes!
Episode 1 synopsis:
The first look into an ongoing Zombie apocalyptic sexploitation grindhouse horror series. Jessa finds herself captured and tortured by a mad man. Is she going to let this go unpunished?…… I don’t fucking think so!!
Be sure to check out the official website for JESSA KILL for daily updates and new episodes! This is going to be a series to keep an eye on for a long time!
As a fan of Italian horror it may come as a surprise how little I know or have seen specifically of the Giallo sub-genre. I’ve never been quite sure where to jump in. Eventually I will get to that. Perhaps a good start was watching AMER, which is being called a homage to the Giallo genre. I got a real kick out of this movie. This movie came off creepy, bizarre, and sometimes like a tease. All sorts of crazy sensations you would hope for. Assuming that doesn’t give away all of my thoughts on the flick, here is a preview of the review:
“AMER does not feature a lot of dialogue. However it is not to the films detriment. Quite frankly dialogue is not needed. The score (much of which is borrowed from Giallo classics) and amplified sound effects get the job done. Ever drip of water, every slam of a door, as well as every gust of wind is focused on so carefully by the filmmakers that you won’t even notice that large parts of the film have gone by without a single word said. We know what the characters are thinking, and most of the time that is plenty.”

Hey everyone! Just thought I’d check in and wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. With all the computer (and car) trouble I’ve been having lately, I still have a ton to be thankful for, and some of that being all the readers, visitors, and friends of the website & podcast. Pretty sure I have a solution for the computer situation nailed down, and everything should be back to normal in a week or two.
So I’ll leave you to your holiday bliss and the big feast about to get started by echoing the the words of one of our genre’s biggest icons…..
Yep you heard it right. Not that it should come as any surprise, on the heels of shattering all basic cable records for the season 2 premiere, but just in case you needed to know for sure, AMC has officially announced that The Walking Dead has been renewed for a third season!!
“AMC announced today the renewal of The Walking Dead for a third season. Season 2 continues to deliver the strongest telecasts for any drama in basic cable history against Adults 18-49 shattering a basic cable record set nearly 10 years ago for a single drama telecast (The Dead Zone). The Walking Dead is based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics. Glen Mazzara serves as series’ showrunner. Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert and Frank Darabont are executive producers. Greg Nicotero is a co-executive producer.
