One of my more anticipated games I am looking forward to this year is ALIEN: ISOLATION.
Despite being burned and disappointed in some many games based on the ALIEN franchise up to now, everything I have seen in regards to ISOLATION has me thinking that finally the game makers have captured the essence of what it would be like to feel helpless in space facing off against a Xenomorph. Check out the latest trailer for the game below and be ready to wake up out of Cryosleep on October 7th!

I’ve heard so much about Outlast for a long time, (originally as a PC exclusive, which I did not have the ability to play). With my recent purchase of the Playstation 4 and PS+ membership, Outlast was available as a free download. Yes…..FREE! I have the game downloaded but have not got the chance to dive in just yet. Well, it looks like I need to get to it because some cool looking DLC is releasing this April titled “Whistleblower”
“Whistleblower will let you play as Waylon Park, a software engineer under contract with Murkoff and the man who emailed journalists around the world – including Miles – at the beginning of Outlast. Spending a couple of weeks at Mount Massive, during which he was unable to even talk to his wife and son in Boulder thanks to strict security protocols, Weylon developed a deep-seated distrust of the profit-motivated scientists and doctors leading dangerous and irresponsible experiments on their patients. Identifying with those poor souls fueled Weylon’s anger, and set the stage for his unmasking of Mount Massive’s rotten core.
Although Whistleblower tells the story that led to Outlast, it will actually stretch past the events of the first game to show the final chapter in Mount Massive Asylum’s story.”
As soon as a trailer is available for “Whistleblower” it will be posted on the site. For now, check out the trailer for Outlast below.

Barely over a week out from the release of The Last of Us, Manifest film has released the first episode of a web series that is based on the Naughty Dog game.
What exactly is “What Remains?”
“What Remains is an epic live action series produced by Manifest Film. All content on this page is intended to serve as reference material for a complete overview of the work and content characters that has been created so far by MANIFEST FILM. This web series is not endorsed by or affiliated in any way with Naughty Dog or any Sony company. WHAT REMAINS is a unique piece of content chronicling the journey of three unlikely friends as they attempt to survive in a world 10 years after a new strain of fungus as all but wiped out the human race.
This series asks the question: “What does it mean to be human when humanity’s time has passed?”
Check out the first episode below:
Currently in development for Stream, this game looks like it takes place after a lone survivor of a plane crash tries to survive in a forest.
Armed with what initially looks like only a lighter, the survivor encounters some type of creature (think the creatures from The Descent) in some caves that look to present quite the obstacle to surviving.
Check out the trailer below:
Welcome back to your regularly scheduled TV horror fix, it’s Evil Episodes #38!

To close out this episode we finally dive into our much anticipated retrospective on Supernatural. Yes, we go way back to season 1 to discuss the first two episodes. For those who have been down this road before (Jamie) or for those who are getting in on the spookiness for the first (Mike & Corey) this show is certainly an interesting watch and discussion. Evil Episodes Cast:
Thanks for Listening and as always….Don’t Touch That Dial!!!
The Walking Dead’s second video game installment (unrelated to Telltale’s The Walking Dead episodic adventure from 2012) is about to hit consoles in a few days and so far other than knowing you play as Daryl Dixon in the events leading up to the TV show’s pilot, not much has been revealed.
Well here is a cool little tidbit to wet the appetite further, the opening credits from the game have leaked online….check ’em out below….
I often get asked, “Are you really shelling out $60 for another Call of Duty game?” While the wallet has definitely gotten tighter over the years and I have to make my gaming purchases a little more far and few between…there is a reason I will keep snatching up Treyarch’s version of the critically acclaimed series…see below:
Black Ops 2 hits on November 13th! Pre-order now!
Is this a sign that Episode #4 in Telltale’s The Walking Dead video game series is going to be on the way sooner than later? Hot on the heels of the release of episode #3 of TWD, comes the trailer not more than 48 hours later. This is pretty uncharacteristic of the series thus far, as much time has passed between the first three episodes. Check out the trailer for “Around Every Corner” below….
***Warning, the trailer is likely to spoil elements of the third episode in the series, and given that the third episode just released a few days ago, it is highly likely a lot of you have not played through it yet. (Including myself, and I am refraining from watching this preview for that very reason….ok you’ve been warned)
I’ll admit it, I haven’t yet dove into the PS3 move yet. I have tinkered with it a bit on a friend’s system, and it was an okay experience. I think the issue is that being a Nintendo Wii owner as well I never felt that the PS3 move did enough on it’s own to bother with another motion controller. However, that may be changing soon with the new game UNTIL DAWN!
Until Dawn features all the elements you’d expect from your favourite teen horror movies: a script that’s funny, sexy and scary; a beautiful young cast; an isolated location; a devious killer; a dark secret and of course that all-important twist. Developed exclusively for PlayStation 3 by Supermassive Games, Until Dawn will make you look at your Move Motion Controller in a totally different way, as it becomes your torch guiding you through the dark as you attempt to survive Until Dawn.
This sort of sounds like you are playing the role of a member of “the teenagers” in a slasher film. On the surface it sounds like an awesome idea. However I also see there being a ton of variables that could make the game a winner or not. Will it be catered to a younger audience, the way most slasher flicks of the modern era are? Will it be void of blood and gore? Harsh Language? Etc etc etc…..pretty much will it be void of all the things we as adult horror fans want in our horror movies/games? Also, being a game that seems to play like a slasher flick, will it have a short running time, aka the length of a typical slasher flick? I noticed in the game notes you can play as any of the 7 characters so I’d imagine there might be some replay ability, but to me that becomes null if all seven characters go through the exact same story/path which leaves the player with nothing new for each play through.
With that said, here is the trailer which I think looks promising and I love the idea that the motion controller will be the player’s torch….hopefully we get more details soon!
