The Wicker Man (1973) Reviewed – Lets get our Pagan on!

Dancing, & Singing, and….Sacrificing! Yep, it’s all here in The Wicker Man. For those who have only seen the abominable remake starring Nicolas Cage, I implore you to go back and check out the original The Wicker Man from 1973. Here is an excerpt from the review:

I already mentioned Christopher Lee who really shined as Lord Summerisle, however just as strong in my opinion is the performance of the late Edward Woodward as Sergeant Neil Howie who comes off as a sort of anti-hero, that by the movie’s end definitely becomes a sympathetic character. A few weeks ago I reviewed a movie called Black Death from 2010. That movie to me had a very similar plot and story, just told in a different era of time. Both movies threw a “When the hunters become the hunted” twist, each in their own way. While both movies were effective in their execution, I felt The Wicker Man definitely left me with more of a sting in the gut when all was said and done.

The rituals are not over yet, nope, that was just a small sample of what the Pagans and “old gods” have to offer you….please click the image below to read the full review!!
