Contagion – Reviewed: Please pass the sanitizer!

Some would say Contagion is more of a thriller than a horror movie. I totally buy that, however I felt what the movie did was represent the potential for real life horror. There is no actor playing a villain or monster in this movie.  The bad guy in Contagion is life.  Viruses, disease, death are all a part of life as we know it. Part of the cycle. Regardless of medical advances and how technologies result in longer life spans, once in awhile something comes along that takes life by storm and there is little we can do about it.  Here is a small excerpt from my Contagion review:

We are also treated to the usual “society breaking down” scenes once knowledge of the virus goes mainstream & viral (which is something I will get to in a sec). A quarantine is eventually imposed on numerous cities to try and contain the virus, and as you can guess the people do not take kindly to it. With medical supplies & food supplies running short, the rioting begins.  Of course, with an airborne disease out there it might not be such a good idea to be scavenging items so many others have already attempted to ransack, but that goes without saying, and with the state of panic and lack of facts out there most people wouldn’t be listening to reason anyway.

Don’t stop reading there, let it spread, like a virus….by checking out the entire review at AlteredRealitiesRadio by clicking the image below!
